At ~1930 PM, Westmorland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a report of a Structure Fire at a home on Cherry Drive. Station 20 responded with Truck 20 (6 firefighters including Asst. Chief 20 and Lieutenant 20), Engine 20 (4 firefighters including Sergeant 20), with Chief 20 going directly to the scene, and 1 firefighter manning Station 20. Westmorland 911 also dispatched the following stations to assist Station 20: Station 64 (White Valley VFD), Station 22 (Export VFD), Station 78 (Sardis VFC), Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One), and the Murrysville Police Department. Chief 20 was first on scene, found no fire or smoke, and established command. Upon arrival of the fire units, the combined interior firefighter crews from Stations 20, 22, 64 and 30 effected entry into the structure, and conducted an extensive interior search. No fire was found in the structure, and it was determined that the high winds had forced the nearby trees into the electric service lines for the home, damaging the electric service entry into the home, which caused several breakers in the home's breaker box to trip. Command 20 notified the home owner of the defective breakers, and partial electric service was restored to the home. Command 20 released all units to answer another structure fire call on Eagles Lane in Murrysville.
