At ~ 7:33 PM, Westmoreland 911 dispatched Station 20 (Murrysville VFC) for a 2-Vehicle Collision at the Intersection of Old William Penn Highway and Sardis Road. Station 20 responded with Squad 20 (2 firefighters), with 2 firefighters going directly to the scene (including Assistant Chief 20), and an additional firefighter manning the station. Westmoreland 911 also dispatched Station 610 (Murrysville Medic One) and the Murrysville Police. A firefighter was first on scene, established command, with both drivers self-extracting from the vehicles, and fluids leaking onto the roadway from one of the vehicles. When Squad 20 arrived on scene, its crew remediated the fluids leaking onto the roadway, while Station 610 EMS personnel assessed both drivers, taking one driver to a local hospital for further evaluation. Gombach Towing and Don Kuhn Auto Body recovered the vehicles, and Squad 20's crew finished the remediation of the leaking fluids. Command 20 released Squad 20 for return to service and station after the roadway was cleared.
