Chlorine Tablet Mixup Causes Hazardous Condition
JULY 15
- At 19:37 hours, Station 20 was dispatched for a hazardous condition at 3902 Sardis Road. The caller reported mixing two different types of chlorine tablets that had different active ingredients. The caller heard popping noises coming from her swimming pool equipment and believed the tablets were causing a reaction. Tower Ladder on the Transfer Assignment to Irwin Borough

- At 15:15 hours, Tower Ladder 20 was requested to transfer into Station 57 (Irwin) while they were at a working barn fire with possible entrapment at 2140 Schade Hill Road in North Huntingdon Township. CO Condition in a School Road Home
JULY 07
- At 22:37 hours, Station 20 was dispatched for a carbon monoxide detector activation at 3794 School Road. Chief 20 arrived on scene and established the School Road command. The Chief confirmed that there were two carbon monoxide detectors in the home and they were both still in alert. Tower Ladder on a Valley Stream Apartment Fire

- At 06:51 hours, Tower Ladder 20 was dispatched to 102 Valley Stream Drive, Apartment 3A for an electrical fire. Chief 64 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing from a window on the Alpha/Bravo corner of the building. At this time, the alarm was upgraded to a working apartment fire. Fair Oaks Smoke in a Residence
JULY 01
- At 20:37 hours, the first alarm assignment was dispatched to 4111 Manor Oaks Court in the Fair Oaks Manor subdivision for a smell and light haze of smoke in the attached three car garage. Chief 20 arrived and established the Manor Oaks command. Engine 22 was the first arriving apparatus and was positioned in the driveway of the two story home.
